Minnesota Strong

Brrrr...............it is cold out there. -21 degrees. Welcome to Minnesota. It looks like a beautiful winter day, but don't stay out too long. I love living in Minnesota, but this cold snap is making me think we should have considered more options. Even though it is cold, life goes on. Yesterday on my afternoon off I had to run errands. The streets were busy, there were lines at the grocery store and bank, and I even saw some full parking lots. I guess most of us are Minnesota Strong, grin and bear it and go on with our life. I won't be seen hanging around outside, but the cold doesn't keep me from doing what needs to be done. The kids, of course, are loving this. They had 2 late starts and 2 extra days off. Zach may miss a basketball game tonight, if they cancel it. So we will have to deal with some disappointment. I am waiting for the heat wave coming on Saturday. I hope it is warm, we are heading to the Cities for Abram's first birthday. Happy Birthday Abram!
