Help! I am very tired and a little crabby today. Kailey will not go to bed at night. She is now also waking up her brothers once they are asleep. I have tried rocking her, reading to her, bath before bed, letting her watch a movie, even putting the baby gate in front of her door. Any ideas that may work?? And telling her Santa is watching does not help either! HELP!

Nanny 911 says to stay in the room not on their bed and give them 30 minutes to calm down and go to sleep or you are going to leave. Once the 30 minutes is up if they are still awake you are to tell them you are going to go out of the bedroom and they should stay in the bed and go to sleep. You gently put them to bed each time they come out reassuring them that you love them and that they must go to bed. Guess you ignore the tantrums and use a gentle, calming voice telling her she is not allowed out of her room at bedtime. It worked on the show - took about 3 nights.
I am always fond of the sticker chart. Buy her favorite character stickers (or find a special stamp set and she can choose the stamp and the color) and every night that she goes to bed she gets to put the sticker on the chart. After a week of stickers she can cash them in for (material item, mommie and me time, daddy and me time, special food treat, whatever you think would motivate her). I like my mom's ideas too and think they would work if you are ok with going through a few nights of h*ll :)
