I have spent two days in meetings for work. The first meeting was required for my position. I learned a few new things that will help in my job. It is always beneficial when you learn something!
Yesterday my meeting was on of those Positive Emotion meetings. It was wonderful. Probably one of the best ones I have attended yet. I thought I would share something that I learned and have been using for the last 2 days. It teaches us to let it go. If something or someone is bugging, intimidating, angering you try saying this: "It is only an EVENT! It's happening. Am I going to die from it? Or does it cause me a much pain as losing a limb?" 9 times out of 10 it is not a big deal. I have let quite a few of the little things go in the last 2 days. They say it takes a person 9-12 times to learn something. So I have been practicing! I may say it out loud now, but soon it will just process in my head as that "stuff" happens. Also we learned about the Q-tip. Q-tip stands for "Quit Taking it Personal" which is something that I do very often. So you are supposed to attach a q-tip to something in your car, office, and home that reminds of that you when you see it. I am using smiley face stickers to put mine on my computer.
"When you change the way you look at things, The things you look at change"
For those of you that attended the meeting.....
"Don't let your horse take over!!"
Have a Great Weekend!

that sounds like a good training! Although I do have to admit I thought you were going to joke about it with the whole positive emotion explanation coming right before the exclimation "It was wonderful!" Can I attach a q-tip to my baby?
