Frustrated

Last night we had a Cub Scout event. It was an egg hunt in a local park here in AL. The scout master & her family filled about 300 eggs with candy & colored sand (for a sand art project). They went & hid the eggs, went to the school to give instructions to the scouts and walked back to the park. In the meantime a group of soccer players (age 25 or so) had gathered in the park. They went to most of the eggs, broke them open and either stole the candy or dumped the sand. Once the figured out there was sand in them they left the sand ones & just took the candy. Someone in our group even asked them if they did it and they lied and said no. But they had a huge pile of the little kids candy by their stuff?? We went on with the sand art and just forgot about the candy. We had cookies for snack anyway. The boys were a little discouraged but were good sports. Then Zach took Kailey over to the play equipment and they came back rather quickly. He said there was a group of grade school girls that were using "not so nice" language at the park. I am guessing these kids were 3rd-5th grade. I am wondering what is wrong with people? And parents? Our kids can't even use a park with out things being stolen or swore at? I think I need a positive thing to happen to renew my faith in others.
